Mass production of this model began in 1929 and ended in 1945. During its course about 200,000 tractors of this type were built. Transmission was provided by a single engine with a displacement of 25-27 hp. Fordson N (another designation: Fordson Model N) was developed by the Ford Motor Company as a successor to the Fordson Model F. Compared to its predecessor, it mainly had a more powerful powertrain. Production of the new model was quickly concentrated at the plant in Cork, Ireland, and in 1933 it was transferred to Ford's new plant in Dagenham, Britain. In the interwar period, tractors of this type were re-exported to the U.S., but were also sold in European markets.
