(EXPECTED RELEASE OF THE KIT MID-JANUARY 2025)The kit offers 12 markings of which 7 are American (USAAF), two are Australian (RAAF), and one is British (RAF), Canadian (RCAF), and Soviet (VVS USSR) aircraft. The kit contains two complete sets of sprues for two models to be built as P-40E Warhawk and P-40E-1 (Kittyhawk Ia).The kit allows any combination of two contained markings to be built.Plastic parts: EduardNumber of markings: 12Decals: EduardPE parts: yes, pre-paintedPainting mask: yesResin parts: yes (exhausts - one type; main undercarriage wheels - two types; molded harness seats - two types)Masking insert of main wheel arches (Omask)PosterMagnetic sticker with P-40 theme Eduard's New Warhawk Eduard's new P-40E kit was designed from the beginning not only with a focus on high precision of individual parts and details, but also with an emphasis on ease of the building process. One of the pitfalls ??of P-40 kits, for example, is gluing the rear side windows together. There is a risk of glue stains on the transparent parts by gluing them to the fuselage. The design of this part of Eduard's new kit completely eliminates this problem and ensures a fantastic and easy-to-achieve appearance of this difficult part of the model. The design of the carburetor intake on the nose crest of all Allison-powered P-40s also presents some challenges. Due to an inserted part of the air intake, even this small detail has its appeal on Eduard's new P-40E. Among other things, because it does not create a joint of the fuselage halves inside the duct that would be difficult to clean. The design of the radiators in the lower part of the nose is also finely detailed and will look good on the finished models. A separate chapter is the wheel arches, as the designers took great care of them. The wheel arches do not lack the distinctive positive riveting as we can see it on a real thing, and the assembly of the parts also ensures a realistic appearance of the covers around the retracted main landing wheel legs. The wheel arch also offers a choice of a version showing the internal structure, as well as a fabric cover. Consideration was also given to the variability of many details. For example, the exhausts offer both early round exhausts and the later fishtail design. The windshield has two options, and the cooling control flaps are available in both open and closed positions. Interestingly, their position is also reflected by the position of the corresponding lever on the right side inside. In addition, the levers for the landing gear and flaps on the left side of the cockpit are separate parts, not just one part printed on the side walls. The right side wall comes in two options, reflecting different radio equipment. Both versions of the seat, i.e., the American version and the so-called "international" version, were also printed. Other variants offer different machine gun barrel covers or different main landing gear wheels. Depending on the armament used, there are one of three wing centerplane inserts with appropriate bases for the bomb rack. The armament itself includes three U.S. 500-pound bombs, a British bomb of the same caliber, bazookas, and two types of dropable fuel tanks. Other armaments will be available as Brassin kits. The surface of the plastic parts has been finished to the latest Eduard standards, that is, with thin recessed panel lines combined with recessed or raised rivets, locks and screws. The position and formation lights are made of clear plastic to create another nice detail. And that's the philosophy behind the whole design of this new kit: beautiful details, easy to build and great result with lots of fun! Enjoy Eduard's new P-40E...
