With its rich details, customization options, and realistic features, this model is ideal for modelers who appreciate the historical accuracy and distinctive appearance of German World War II armored vehicles.Sd.Kfz.167 Stug IV:The Sd.Kfz.167 StuG IV (Sturmgeschütz IV) was a German assault gun introduced in 1943, combining the successful design elements of the StuG III and the hull of the Panzer IV tank. Created to provide infantry support and act as a tank destroyer, the StuG IV was developed out of necessity when German armored forces suffered significant tank losses and production facilities were disrupted by Allied bombardment. Its versatility and effective firepower made it a valuable asset to the Wehrmacht, particularly in the defensive battles that characterized the later stages of World War II.Design and armamentThe design of the StuG IV was derived from the StuG III assault gun , with a similar low-profile, casemate structure. This profile offered a smaller target, making it more difficult for enemies to detect and hit. The main weapon was the 7.5-cm StuK 40 L/48 cannon , mounted on a fixed superstructure rather than a rotating turret. The L/48 gun was effective against Allied medium tanks at standard engagement ranges and also excelled in providing indirect infantry support by firing high-explosive projectiles at fortified positions. The absence of a turret simplified production and made the vehicle cheaper to build, although it required the entire tank to rotate to aim horizontally, limiting its versatility in dynamic combat situations. In addition to the main armament, the StuG IV was equipped with a 7.92 mm MG 34 machine gun, often mounted on the roof, to defend against infantry attacks. Some crews improvised additional protections, such as sandbags and logs, to strengthen the defense of the vehicle, which was vulnerable to infantry with anti-tank weapons in close combat.Armor and mobilityThe StuG IV used the hull of the Panzer IV , facilitating its production in factories that already produced Panzer IV components. The vehicle was protected by 80 mm of front armor , angled to increase its effective thickness and deflect incoming shots. The side and rear armor were thinner, about 30 mm, making it vulnerable at the sides and rear, especially to anti-tank guns and artillery fire. The hull of the Panzer IV offered reliable mobility and, although slower than some specific fighter tanks, was relatively maneuverable, with a top speed of about 38 km/h (24 mph). This mobility was sufficient for defensive roles and support of infantry advances, allowing it to keep pace with infantry while being more fuel efficient than larger tanks.Operational role and impactThe StuG IV became a staple of German armored units, especially as a fighter-tank and defensive vehicle. Its low silhouette made it effective for ambushes, a key tactic at a time when the German Army was increasingly fighting defensive battles on both the Eastern and Western fronts. The StuG IV was cheaper to produce and required less maintenance than turret-equipped tanks, making it a practical solution to Germany's tank shortage. In total, about 1,100 StuG IVs were produced. They became an effective weapon in the Wehrmacht's strategy, excelling in defensive roles and helping to create a cost-effective armored force. The Sd.Kfz.167 StuG IV is remembered for its practicality, effectiveness as an anti-tank weapon, and importance as a low-cost solution in the German arsenal during World War II.l

Russian 9A52-2 Smerch-M Multiple Rocket Launcher from the RSZO 9k58 MRLS in 1/35 scale - Trumpeter model. Early work on the BM-30 Smiercz self-propelled rocket artillery system began at the turn of the 1970s and 1980s at the Splaw plant in Tula. In 1989, the set was adopted by the Soviet Army. To date (2017), it remains in service with the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Mass production began in 1989 and continues to this day at Fabryka Splaw Tule. The BM-30 Smiercz was a Soviet response to the American M-270 MLRS launcher. The BM-30 set was based on the MAZ-543M truck chassis. On such a chassis was mounted a 300 mm 12-track missile launcher for the 9M55 family of missiles. They have a range of up to 70 km, and in 1998 their modification with a range of about 90 km was revealed. The BM-30 launchers, together with the BM-27 set, were and still are the backbone of the artillery divisions and brigades of Soviet and Russian troops. The BM-30 set has been exported to several countries, including India, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates. The BM-30 took part in several conflicts, primarily in World War II in Chechnya and the civil war in Syria.

Tank kit Sd.Kfz. 250/9Ausf. A (2 cm KwK) Complete 2-in-1 interior - 250/9Z or 250/9E in 1/35 scale - Model Dragon.Sd.Kfz 250 was a German World War II light armored half-track transport. The first prototypes of the vehicle were made in 1939, and mass production continued during 1940-1944, ending with the production of about 6,700 units. The Sd.Kfz 250 was powered by a Maybach HL 42 TRKM six-cylinder engine with 100 hp .The Sd.Kfz 250 was developed as a light, multipurpose reconnaissance vehicle for German armored divisions and panzer grenadiers. During series production, two versions of the Sd.Kfz 250 hull were created: the first (called "alt") had undercut side hull plates and a broken armor plate at the front of the hull. In 1943 the "neu" version was introduced, which was simplified: the hull sides were flat, as was the armor on the front of the car. During World War II several variants and versions of the Sd.Kfz 250 were created. The first chronological version was the Sd.Kfz 250/1, which was the basic version and could function as a light infantry carrier or reconnaissance vehicle. Later appeared the Sd.Kfz 250/3, which was a command version with a long-range frame antenna and a long-range radio. Later, an armed version with an 80-mm mortar (Sd.Kfz 250/7), a 28-mm anti-tank gun (Sd.Kfz 250/11) or a reconnaissance vehicle with a 20-mm gun in a rotating turret (Sd. Kfz 250/9). Sd.Kfz 250 machines of all versions were used primarily in armored divisions and armored grenadiers on virtually all fronts of World War II.

The objective was for the German army to cut the Allied line in half, capture Antwerp, advance northward, encircling and destroying four Allied armies, thus forcing them to negotiate peace.Although unsuccessful, it nevertheless committed enormous amounts of Allied resources, and a slow response to the ensuing disruption of the lines erased months of delay. An alternative analysis is that the offensive allowed the Allies to severely deplete the crème de la crème of the German army outside the defenses of the Western Wall and under poor supply conditions, greatly facilitating the subsequent assault on Germany. In terms of numbers, it is the largest battle ever fought by the U.S. Army.About Dragon's "Magic Tracks":these tracks are ready to assemble, no cleaning required! They even snap together with a friction fit system for easy assembly. Just a light application of glue later-the magic of Magic Tracks!

Monty's Office Caravan 1/35 - ICM 35603
SKU ICM-35603
Brand ICM
Scale: 1/35
Nation: United Kingdom
Period: WWII
Type: Military Vehicles
Category Kit

Monty's Office Caravan truck kit in 1/35 scale - ICM model. "Monty's Office Caravan" refers to the mobile headquarters used by the famous British Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery ("Monty") during World War II. It was not a single caravan, but the term often encapsulates the series of vehicles he used as part of his tactical command. This is what is meant by "Monty's Office Caravan." Mobile Headquarters: Montgomery was known to prefer to stay close to the front lines to maintain a good understanding of the battlefield. To facilitate this, he used a series of caravans as his mobile tactical headquarters. Several Caravans: Over the course of the war, Montgomery used at least three main caravans for different purposes: Office Caravan: This was his main workspace, used for meetings, planning and communications. His first office trailer was an Italian trailer captured in North Africa. Later, he used another one as his office. Bedroom Caravan: Acquired later in the North African campaign, this served as his personal quarters. He was said to have declared that he would not leave it for anyone but the King and Winston Churchill. Map Caravan: This specially constructed caravan, presented to him before the D-Day landings, was specifically designed as a mobile map room to coordinate operations. Symbol of Command: These trailers became quite recognizable and were a symbol of Montgomery's command style. They allowed him to be mobile and accessible while still having a space dedicated to his work. Currently at the Imperial War Museum: All three of Montgomery's caravans used during the war were bequeathed to the Imperial War Museum (IWM) upon his death in 1976. They are now on display at the IWM Duxford, offering a fascinating insight into the working conditions of a high commander during the war. Model kits: The importance of "Monty's Office Caravan" is further underscored by the existence of model kits, such as the one produced by ICM, that allow enthusiasts to recreate this iconic piece of military history in miniature. These kits often feature detailed interiors, including furniture and even the portraits that adorned the walls of the real caravan. In essence, "Monty's Office Caravan" represents the mobile nerve center from which Field Marshal Montgomery directed major campaigns during World War II. It is a tangible piece of history that testifies to his leadership and logistical considerations of commanding armies in the field.

It is named after the Union commander, General William Sherman, and production exceeded 50,000 units. Dragon has expanded and improved its impressive fleet of 1/35 scale Sherman kits, and the latest release is a Premium Edition version of the M4A3(76)W. The nomenclature of this tank indicates that it was powered by a 500-hp Ford GAA V8 gasoline engine (M4A3), boasted a 76-mm M1 cannon (76) and had a "wet" protective compartment for ammunition (W). The M4A3, the U.S. Army's preferred Sherman variant, began replacing the M4 and M4A1 in 1944. The more powerful 76 mm anti-tank gun was needed to take on the more heavily armored and more powerful German tanks, and began fighting in France from July 1944 onward. In fact, by the end of the war in Europe, half of the U.S. Sherman fleet was equipped with 76mm guns.Dragon's Premium Edition kit depicts an M4A3(76)W with the old Vertical Volute Spring Suspension (VVSS) system. In keeping with its "Premium" status, the kit has received a number of improvements and upgrades. It features a brand new T23 Early Production turret with realistic textures. It features newly crafted T48 tracks made of DS, which boast the added benefit of "duck-billed" Extended End Connectors (EEC), ideal for modeling this tank in a muddy or snowy winter environment. Of course, a number of multimedia elements are also included in the package, such as photo-etched parts and a bonus aluminum cannon barrel. This beautifully detailed model keeps the M4A3 in step with Dragon's recently released Sherman kits. With its improved and bonus components, it will be a must buy for Allied and Sherman tank enthusiasts.

Confession Before Combat Kit 1/35 Scale - ICM Model.During World War II, the British Army formed a total of 43 infantry divisions. At the beginning of the war, division personnel numbered about 13,800 officers and soldiers, while in 1944 this number increased to about 18,300. This significant change in the number of personnel resulted mainly from the increase in the various types of support units, and not from the increase in the number of infantrymen themselves. In 1944, the British infantry division consisted of three infantry brigades, each with its own headquarters, a staff platoon, 3 infantry battalions, and engineering divisions. It is worth adding that a single infantry battalion had about 780 officers and soldiers and had numerous support units (such as a mortar platoon or a reconnaissance platoon). The division also included a de facto artillery brigade with five artillery regiments (including one anti-tank and one AA), a machine gun and mortar battalion, and reconnaissance, communications, and engineer units. An important element in increasing the mobility of the British infantry division was its full motorization. The main rifle of the British infantryman was the Lee Enfield No. 1 or No. 4 rifle. Sten machine guns, Bren manual machine guns, and Vickers machine guns were used as machine guns, among others. The most commonly used anti-tank weapons were the 40- and 57-mm 2-pounder and 6-pounder guns, and later also the 76-mm 17-pounder guns. In turn, the main armament of field artillery was a highly successful Ordnance QF 25-pounder howitzer.
