1/24 Opel Blitz Classic
The Opel Blitz was a model truck produced by Opel from 1930 to 1975 whose name comes from the German-language term for the element that would become an integral part of the company logo in the 1960s: the thunderbolt.
It entered production in 1930, and its design features are typically of the U.S. school, since Opel had been absorbed by General Motors in 1929. The engine, a six-cylinder gasoline engine, was a Buick built under license in Germany. Traction, for the "S" type, was rear only, and a version (type "A") with insertable front wheel drive was prepared in 1940.
Countless fittings were made from its chassis, from classic freight transport in closed van versions to those equipped with a box and tarpaulin to bus versions or specific uses such as fire trucks.
