1/144 MiG-29 FULCRUM
The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-29 is a Soviet- and Russian-made 4th-generation air superiority fighter first and then, developed and produced by MiG since the 1970s and entered service with the Soviet Armed Forces in August 1983.
Designed to complete intercept, escort, bombing and maneuvered combat missions, it has enjoyed considerable commercial success particularly in the Asian and African regions. A twin-engine aircraft with high performance but low range, it owes its nickname - swift - to the balance and flight stability conferred by the particular shape of its fuselage.
Updated constantly over its operational life, several versions have been created including the most recent in service today, the MiG-29SMT, equipped with external fuel tanks conforming to the fuselage. An embarked version called MiG-29K was also created.
As of 2021, it is in service in numerous air forces around the world, including the Russian Aerospace Forces. A recent extensive redesign of the MiG-29 resulted in a new multi-role fighter, the MiG-35.
