1/48 Piper J-3 "Cub Goes To War"
The Piper J-3 Cub is a light, high-wing aircraft with conventional landing gear (bicycle) fixed, produced by the U.S. Piper Aircraft Corporation from 1932 to the late 1940s. Made in thousands of examples it was used as a training, reconnaissance, liaison and emergency evacuation aircraft.
Characterized by cylinder heads that protruded from the profile and almost always colored yellow with a broken black arrow drawn along the fuselage, the Cub (in English puppy) was one of the best-known and most popular airplanes of the period. Very versatile it was used in multiple roles in both military and civilian settings.
