1/35 German WWII folding 2m rod antenna for early PzKpfw II-IV
The Panzer II, short for the full name Panzerkampfwagen II, whose army identification number was Sd.Kfz. 121, was a German light tank designed in the early 1930s as a replacement for the light armored Panzer I.
Although the design was only intended to serve as an antechamber for the more advanced Panzer III and Panzer IV, the Panzer II formed the backbone of the German armored divisions during the Polish and French campaigns, and was also used during the invasion of the USSR in 1941, however, proving outdated parameters: withdrawn almost completely from the front line between 1942 and 1943, it was relegated to training duties, law and order maintenance and anti-partisan fighting; instead, the versatile hull was reused for various self-propelled and fighter-tank designs.
