1/48 Peshka (Pe-2) Limited Edition
The Petlyakov Pe-2, nicknamed Peshka was a twin-engine multi-role aircraft designed in the Soviet Union in the late 1930s under the leadership of Vladimir Michajlovic Petljakov and produced in over 11 000 examples of different variants by Soviet state industries.
One of the most effective tactical attack aircraft of the war, regardless of nationality, it formed the backbone of the tactical bombing divisions of the Voenno-vozdušnye sily (the Soviet Air Force) during World War II and in the postwar period was also sold to foreign armed forces, mainly from Warsaw Pact nations or pro-Communist; it remained in service until 1954 when the last examples in the employ of the Yugoslav JRV were decommissioned. Its use in the postwar period earned it the NATO codename Buck.
